PAST EVENTS

FESTIVUS

Festivus is the CES's flagship event of the year and is a holiday-themed dance that typically runs in early December and is welcome to all undergraduate student in Civil Engineering. This event has been running since 2015 and has been a tremendous success every year. The name "Festivus" comes from the TV show Seinfeld, and is an alternative celebration to the pressures and commercialism of the holiday season. Highlights include a dinner, music, and limbo!

MEET THE PROFS NIGHT

Meet the Profs Night gives Civil Engineering students the ability to interact with most of the Professors in the Civil Engineering department in a casual environment. Students typically attend this event to figure out what professors are researching and gather insight into upper-year classes. Professors also like attending this event because it gives them a chance to meet students outside of the classroom environment.

BOSTON PIZZA NIGHT

Boston Pizza Night is an evening event held at the local Boston Pizza near campus. At this event students from all years in Civil Engineering mostly converse, and hang out in a relaxing, casual environment. This event is a great way to talk to upper-year students and find out what experiences they have had.

CIVIL CLUBS NIGHT

Civil Clubs Night is an event where all of the clubs and teams from Civil Engineering come out to one event to advertise for their respective clubs. This is a great opportunity to ask questions to everyone on each club and get interesting insights into what Civil Engineering has to offer at McMaster. Be sure to visit our booth as well, this is the event where we will be looking for our next year's representatives!
